    This unique point-to-point Mile on Santa Barbara's famous State Street begins just a 1/4 mile from the Old Mission Santa Barbara on State and Pedregosa Streets. Runners will then descend just over 100 feet in elevation as they enter the historic, Spanish-inspired downtown, ending their journey on State and De La Guerra Streets.

    Race day registration is available beginning at 7:00am near the starting line on the corner of Pedregosa and State Streets.

    Nite Moves is a family evening on the Santa Barbara shore of the American Riviera built around a 5K Fun Run. For swimmers we now offer two aqualthon distances / 1K or 2000 meters.

    Choose between the traditional 1K swim and 3.5 mile run / Or the new beginners 500 meter swim and 1 mile run.

    We have added The 2000 meter Open Ocean Swim.
    We also feature a kids Mile and a Soft Sand Sprint for the small children.

    Post Race events include live music, food sampling and soft drinks and adult beverages, bib drawing door prizes and a variety of vendors throughout the summer.

    Full season registration includes the beautiful and collectible Nite Moves Tee, the shirt loved by SB locals. Nite Moves Tees are also available for purchase at the event for single night registrations.

    The Vintner's 5 Milerpresented by the Santa Barbara Vintners Foundation is a unique trail run or walk through the Rinconada and Sanford & Benedict Vineyards in the beautiful, world-famous Santa Rita Hills. Runners and walkers will be treated to one of the most unique experiences on the Central Coast!

    Along with the run & walk, a Finish Line Festival welcomes everyone of all ages to celebrate the coming harvest from Santa Barbara’s wine region. This can't miss festival will provide you with exclusive tastings of some of the best regional food and wine as well as live music to enjoy it with! For any kids, attending there will be a family zone with games and a bounce house.

    Santa Barbara’s Challenging Half-Marathon takes you from the famous Santa Barbara Friendship Dolphins Fountain at the edge of Stearns Wharf, past the “Queen of the Missions” and on up an elevation of 3996 feet to the Majestic views at La Cumbre Peak. Capture the panaramic layout of the city, SB Channels and the Channel Islands. You can see where you started from 13.1 miles (sea-level) earlier.

    The Lemon Run is back! With competitive 5K (Jr. Grand Prix) and 10K (Grand Prix) races, and our popular 1K Family Fun Run, we’ve got something for everyone. Come celebrate the Goleta Valley community while we raise money for Innovation Grants, given to educators in Goleta Valley elementary schools to support new and exciting learning opportunities for students. Held at beautiful Goleta Beach Park, our races are on the flat and fast Obern Trail bike path and are perfect for competitive runners and first-timers alike.

    The Santa Barbara County Bar Foundation is hosting a “Race for Justice” 5K and 5K Fun Run on Saturday, September 20, 2020.  Proceeds from the event will support the charitable activities of the Foundation.  The race will begin at Ledbetter Beach in Santa Barbara.  Sign-in and day-of-race registration at 7:30 a.m. 5K Fun Run and 5K Relay are at 8:30 a.m. Prizes for first place mens/womens, first place Relay team, and best costume. Prizes given out immediately after the race.

    Race Date: September 20, 2020

    Start Time: 5K Relay and 5K Fun Run 8:30 a.m. Rain or Shine

    Course Details: Ledbetter Beach to Mesa Park.  Second half is all downhill back to Ledbetter Beach. 

    Finish line awards and refreshments immediately following the race. 

    Packet Pick-up Location: Leadbetter Beach, day of race. Fee based parking available at Waterfront Lot.

    5 mile XC race and Kids mile race in the Los Carneros Park

    Come and run the Fox Fall Cross Country Classic! A true cross-country race with five miles of mostly off-road running, winding trails through woods and fields, over hill and Dale (one of our volunteers). Watch for logs to jump over, low-hanging branches to duck under, and the occasional fox or bobcat. Enjoy Octoberfest treats at the finish, and the best-tasting awards in town, all for the amazingly low price of $10.

    Open to UCSB students and community members, this 5K run/walk or 10K run includes a Men’s, Women’s, and Open division for each race. Prizes are awarded to the first, second, and third place winners of each length race. The courses feature breathtaking views of the ocean and lagoon from the UCSB Campus. Register here

    The annual running of the original Santa Barbara Thanksgiving Day 4 Miler. The flat and fast course stands apart from local runs with a straight away start down Hollister Avenue to Turnpike and then along treed bike paths and finally through a local neighborhood finishing in Thunderbird Park just off Walnut Avenue.

    The Elings Terrain Festival has one simple goal…bring parents, students, and the running community together to raise money for student athletes (cross country) at San Marcos, Dos Pueblos, and Santa Barbara high schools. And the school with the most paid race entries wins the Elings Terrain Cup! Whether you’re fast, slow, or somewhere in between, there’s a trail run for every member of the family:

    • 5K (open to everyone); 
    • 3K kids (Ages 8-13, parents can register to run with their child); and 
    • 3K Doggie Run (Dogs get to invite their owners for a fun-filled romp through the park)
