The Santa Barbara Running Association (SBRA) non-profit has promoted and supported running in Santa Barbara since 1948. SBRA sponsors first-class races, free community runs and special events. We bring the running community together by celebrating local athletes’ achievements and development from beginner level through elite. For the first time ever, we are thrilled to offer grants of $1,000 to support run clubs and run teams in Southern Santa Barbara County! Your club/team/school is invited to apply for this exciting first ever opportunity!

Award Criteria:
1. Organizers/Majority of Members live in Southern Santa Barbara County.
2. Club/Team has regular events throughout the year or school season.
3. Club/Team willingness to list club contact and event information on SBRA run club website.
4. Provide at a minimum 30 Volunteer Hours at SBRA events within 1 year of award.
5. How grant money will further the SBRA Mission to “promote and support running in Santa Barbara.”

SBRA Grant Committee may choose to award up to two $1000 grants out of the applications submitted by the December 5, 2024 deadline.

Grant money encouraged for use to generate new members, Club/Team shirts and gear, race entries, travel expenses to races, or Club/Team special event costs.

Deadline for Application: December 5, 2024 at midnight.
Decision made by December 20, 2024 for the 2025 SBRA Grant Cycle.
