Fox Fall XC Classic

There were several sightings of many foxes running around Lake Los Carneros this morning. Turns out the foxes were really a bunch of runners participating in the annual Fox Fall XC Classic. The first finisher of the approx. 5 mile cross-country course was Adam Roeder from UCSB at 28:08. Fastest woman was Cindy Abrami in 31:04.

This is one of the friendliest races of the year and per custom treated everyone with some homebaked goods, bratwurst and brew. Plus the Fox had it’s unique eatable awards – Drea’s homebaked pumpkin bread. This years “sneaky fox” award (you’ll have to ask Drea what makes it “sneaky”) went to Mike Myers.

Thanks to race director Tim Strand and the fine volunteers for making this such a fun event.
